Hi,

I love these minimalist recipes - exactly what I've been trying to do for the past 2 years through my One Page Cookbooks.

Oh yeah, this curry thingy really was scrummy... even for those of us who have only just embarked on our journey from Blandsville to Spicy Central. Is it bad that Dad is much further along on this journey than i am??
Ps You're on for the Sunday night family dinners

Ah, yogurt sorbet! One of my favourite sorbet flavours ever! Interesting to see you've used condensed milk to make it. A bit like a kulfi? Does it taste the same as normal yogurt sorbet?

Dear Stone Soup,

I have a foodie problem....

I found this thing in the bottom of my fridge. At first I thought it
was a small vacuum packed walking stick but on closer inspection
I think it might be EEL.

HELP!

Your curry looks wonderful, I must give it a try. I love Karen Martini's cooking also, she has inspired many a meal in our house too.

This meal looks so fabuous!! I totally agree with you in wishing that Indian cooking had more fresh green things in it. I love the way you used raita as a salad dressing.... Everything is so hearty and delicious!!

Great menu indeed and a nice meal for this wintry weather that's coming our way, over here in the Netherlands. I'm fantasizing about making your sorbet with full-fat Greek yogurt, yum!

Your menu is fabulous. I am a big fan of indian-style meals but sometimes we lean towards things that are too heavy and leave me feeling like I need to get myself to bed right after dinner. But the sides in your menu are a lovely balance to your main dish--it keeps everything feeling light. I would be thrilled to have this as a family dinner. And your pictures are gorgeous by the way.

Looks delicious Jules. I love a good curry, and this one sounds delightful. I'm always interested to see what kind of spice mixtures other people put into theirs. My spice collection sprawls across two shelves in my pantry, and I seem to pick randomly most of the time... also I have no idea what fenugreek adds, but i seem to add it regardless.

I think you might have to be Herbies new spokesperson... :)
