I totally agree about having to work for your food. Once I start peeling prawns and eating them, I love it. Same with chicken nibbles, crab legs etc. It's entertainment - not just eating. My fiance doesn't get it though - he hovers around me while I'm peeling prawns hoping I'll pass him a peeled one. Your broad beans look divine.

Great - now that the broadbeans are all finished in my garden - NOW I find this recipe LOL - I'll have to get some from my stash in the freezer as this looks delicious.
I grew them for the first time this year and was blown away by how easy and delicious they were AND the plants were really beautiful. $4 pack of seeds and I have picked well over 10 kg!

Thanks for the recipes!

Your salad looks wonderful. I love broad beans too - we've been having them mashed up with peas, mint, parmesan, lemon and olive oil and spread on toasted bread - ala Jamie Oliver.

Looks like a nice Spring salad.
Too bad it's almost winter here! boo hoo!

I couldn't agree more. Broad beans are worth every little bit of effort. Delicious little morsels they are.

Oh beautiful Jules. How absolutely gorgeous that looks. I seem to remember you doing beautiful things with broad beans last year - including a dish with asparagus and parmesan?

I am so jealous of you. Those broad beans look gorgeous and totally what I need right now. Alas, I'll just have to bookmark it for spring in the northern hemisphere...

So jealous...
