I’ve been to Limerick four times now and each time I enjoy it more and more. There are always loads of laughs and late nights. And so many friendly faces.

It’s more about catching up with my Irishman’s family and friends than eating out. But I’ve managed to discover a few favourites anyway.

You’ll notice that I haven’t given any recommendations for breakfast places because we were spoiled pretty much every day with Geraldine’s wonderful home cooked full Irish breakfasts including her gorgeous soda bread.

You’ll also notice that I’ve included a list of pubs because really all the best nights out in Limerick happen in the pub. When in Rome…erh Limerick…

How to spend 48 hours eating & drinking in Limerick

Lunch Day 1. Sage Cafe
A cosy little cafe. Great for a casual lunch or breakfast. They also sell lovely rustic bread.

Dinner Day 1. Bunratty Castle
Yes it’s super touristy and cheesy to have a Medieval banquet in a castle. But it’s also way more fun than you’d think. The wine and mead are free flowing and the medieval food is surprisingly tasty. Make sure you stop into Dirty Nelly’s for a drink either before or after.

Lunch Day 2. Flanagans on the Lake at Killaloe
My ancestors actually left Killaloe for Australia back in the 1850s. It’s such as lovely little town about 20km from Limerick and well worth a visit. Flanagans is a fine place to have a leisurely lunch. It’s mostly pub grub.

Dinner Day 2. The Cornstore
As far as casual dining goes, the Cornstore is my favourite Limerick restaurant. Be warned though, the servings are huge.

Favourite pubs

Nancy Blakes
My all time favourite pub in Limerick and the world.

Tom Collins
Love this little place. Loads of character.

The Curraghower
Overlooking the river and Clancy’s strand. The place for a medicinal hot whiskey – aka a hot toddy.

The White House
Great for a bit of poetry with your booze.

The Locke Bar
If you get nice weather head here to one of the outdoor tables. Last time I was there they had pour your own Guinness with taps at most tables. Believe me it’s harder than it looks.

On my list for next time…

Azur
A cafe, restaurant and wine bar that I keep hearing great things about.

Cobblestone Joes
I haven’t been here yet buy my Irishman tells me it’s similar to Nancy Blakes so definitely on my list for next time.

I was born in Cork but now live in South Africa. I loved Dirty Nelly’s when I was last there. Heard the best Irish music in a pub there too, pity the name escapes me!

This is probably one of the most important changes you need to
consider if you haven’t done so already. Such multipronged online identity will keep your targeted customers connected
your business organization. This means informative articles,
slideshows, presentations, and infographics that enrich their lives and
demonstrate an understanding of their needs in a real way.
