Cooking & Eating Ebooks
Even though I’m a huge fan of old fashioned books, these days, if given a choice, I’ll choose an ebook over a print book most of the time. I love that ebooks aren’t going to cause any clutter on my already overflowing book case. But more importantly I love being able to save them to my ipad and phone so I have them with me when I’m out and about OR snuggled up in bed.
Somewhere in my future I’m planning to write an ebook focusing on healthy baking. But in the mean time I’ve been having heaps of fun baking my way through the ‘Guilt-Free Desserts‘ ebook by Kelley Herring. So far, I’ve made the ‘paleo’ brownies, some amazing vanilla cupcakes that actually contain cannellini beans and the blueberry muffins. All of which have far exceeded my expectations on the deliciousness scale.
If you’re completely new to the whole Paleo thing and interested in trying it out for yourself, the best option for you would be Robb Wolf’s 30 Day Total Transformation.
It focuses on giving you concrete steps to help you implement the whole paleo lifestyle including what to eat, what type of exercise to do.

If you have any interest in healthy eating from the perspective of reducing or completely cutting sugar from your diet, then you’ll find Sarah Wilson’s ebooks invaluable.
I really love the practical hands-on advice from someone who has actually quit sugar herself.
Cooking & Eating Print Books
There is something quite addictive about a beautifully photographed cookbook. But only cookbooks that I personally LOVE and have cooked from are included here.
This is one of those cookbooks that you can actually cook out of on a (week)nightly basis. And I have. For me I rarely cook from a book more than a few times but when I first got a copy of Hugh’s book I actually made dinner inspired by the book 4 nights in a row!
If I had to choose a favourite food writer, Nigel Slater would win hands down. I just love the way he brings food and the joy of eating to life on the page. The other thing I adore is his philosophy of keeping cooking as simple as possible. If you’re looking for a cookbook you can keep on your bedside table for pleasure reading this (or the first volume) is just the book you need. If you’re more into having a collection of quick and easy recipes his Real Food Fast is probably more your style.
