a FREE e-cookbook [5 ingredients | 10 minutes] + how minimalist home cooking can help you

3D cover stonesoup FREE e-cookbook

Something a bit different for you today. I’m super excited to announce the launch of my first ever eCOOKBOOK that I’m releasing out into the wide world for FREE. Yes, a 97 page cookbook packed with 65 simple [5 ingredients | 10 minutes] recipes all ready to download NOW.

Why the FREE e-cookbook?

Over the past year I’ve been writing a series of recipes that have only 5 ingredients and take 10 minutes to prepare. They’ve been published in a number of locations. I thought it would be useful to have these recipes all together in the one handy e-book that you can keep on your laptop or computer at work as an at-your-fingertips reference for when you need inspiration for what to cook for dinner.

click HERE to download your FREE pdf copy of my new e-cookbook

If you find my e-cookbook useful, I’d really appreciate it if you share the love and forward it to your family and friends. Or better yet – send them the link to stonesoup (www.thestonesoup.com) so they can download their own copy and discover the wonderful world of food blogging themselves.

And if you haven’t yet done so, why not subscribe to stonesoup by email to receive your free updates published twice a week.

7 ways my [5 ingredients | 10 minutes] recipes can HELP YOU

1. less time in the kitchen
10 minutes cooking leaves more time for the activities and people you love.

2. less time shopping
With only 5 ingredients in each recipe, you’ll find your shopping lists are shorter and more manageable. You won’t need to spend as much time out hunting and gathering.

3. eating more fresh, healthy food
Everyone knows that home cooked food tends to be better for you. With the focus on fresh ingredients, my 5 ingredients recipes make it easy.

4. more pleasure & enjoyment
Cooking can be a great way to relax and unwind. Spending 10 minutes using one of my minimalist recipes will help you gain more pleasure and enjoyment from dinner time.

5. save money
If dinner only takes 10 minutes to prepare, you’ll be more likely to cook for yourself than take the expensive dial-a-dinner option.

6. less stress
Long ingredient lists and complicated methods can lead to much stress and kitchen confusion. Minimalist home cooking keeps things as simple and stress-free as possible.

7. more kitchen confidence
If you’re new to cooking, starting with minimalist recipes will help you get some great simple dishes under your belt and give you the confidence to tackle anything.

__________________________________________________________

A big THANKYOU to everyone who helped spread the word about my new FREE e-cookbook. It’s still available to download, or if you are interested in a proper paper copy, head on over to my blurb store… but be warned paper is expensive. The price does not contain any markup – it’s purely blurb’s cost to produce. Enjoy.

Thank you – this is wonderful!
I am a big fan of your recipes which have become my go-to many a time.
Will be spreading the word and sharing the e-book on my blog (www.bubbletealove.blogspot.com) soon!

Thank you so much! I adore your recipes, they save me so much time and taste amazing. I’ll make sure to spread the word in my next blog update :D

twirling betty 21 June, 2010 at 7:47 pm

An extraordinarily generous sharing of the 10 minute dishes love! Thanks so very much. With two little girls twirling at my feet, 10 minutes is about the maximum time I can invest in dinner at the moment. I’ll be spreading the word for you too.

Alex 21 June, 2010 at 8:25 pm

Thanks alot for putting all of those together! That is very generous of you to compile and share all these recipes as an ebook!

I found your e-book on Barcelona very useful too. The map at the back with your walking tour was great as was the listing of markets and the list of places for food shopping. I was only there for a week for work so the guide was a handy reference for being able to squeeze in as much food shopping and eating as possible (thank heavens for hotels near markets too…..).

Lynne 21 June, 2010 at 10:30 pm

Thank you so much for your generosity. I have a little collection of your recipes already which I have either printed out or written out by hand. I love trying new recipes. I try to make a new recipe at least once a week, and invite my mother for dinner on those days. She always cooks meat and three vegetables at home for herself, and laughs at my “experiments” as she calls them. I thought she regarded herself more as a guinea pig than a guest. Last week I was working most nights and didn’t have her round for dinner. She called me and asked enthusiastically when I was going to “experiment” again, so I guess she likes what she’s been given so far :-)

Scott Kostolni 21 June, 2010 at 10:46 pm

Wow! This is awesome. I have just started learning about minimalism and this is the perfect way to embrace it in the kitchen. Your recipes sound delicious and your tips for setting up a kitchen are great. Thank you very much.

Thom 22 June, 2010 at 12:30 am

What a great idea and really great photos and recipes. Notice a couple of typos:

Toss _though_ cheese and season. Arrange on a serving platter or salad
bowl and drizzle over a sparing amount of balsamic.

Not sure if this is a typo or a regional saying
or crumble _through_ some sharp goats cheese

Sarita Li 22 June, 2010 at 12:58 am

Awesome! I can’t wait to try them out! Thanks for sharing.

Love it … so simple and the photos are stellar …
Thanks again!

Socalgal 22 June, 2010 at 8:10 am

OMG! Hands down this is the most attractive collection of meals I’ve seen in a long time – I’m not a big fan of spending hours in the kitchen, and quick often means uninteresting. Thank you! [Came over here from Lifehacker.com, where your e-book is featured today (notice an uptick in visitors?)]

jules 22 June, 2010 at 8:32 am

wow thanks for all the comments everyone. really appreciate the offers to help spread the word about stonesoup.

thom
thanks for the feedback – regional rather than typos – but there’s probably a few errors in there as well.

lynne
thanks for sharing your story about your mum and your experimental dinner – that’s just so cute.

alex
so glad you got alot out of the barcelona book – did you get to stockup on jamon?

C. A. Kobu 22 June, 2010 at 9:17 am

Yay! Lucky us! If you hadn’t done it, I would have compiled my own very special Stone Soup dishes for my personal use before too long. You see, your fabulous recipes have already reached the other end of the Earth :) I’ll surely inform every single person I know and who can cook. Thank you and congratulations. (The book looks as yummy as the dishes inside!)

Suzie 22 June, 2010 at 9:19 am

It’s as visually beautiful as it is practical. Thank you–what a wonderful e-book you’ve created!

Carol 22 June, 2010 at 10:28 am

Thank you for sharing. It’s a lovely cookbook.

Aaron 22 June, 2010 at 10:36 am

Straight to the iphone/ipad so it’s convenient in the kitchen. Thanks for sharing such a great book. After reading some of the recipes on your site too I’ll definitely be sticking around to read more

Lynn Fang 22 June, 2010 at 11:01 am

Thank you for the free ebook! It is amazing and you have some really great ideas!

James Hare 22 June, 2010 at 11:33 am

Bah! Reverse psychology is kicking in and now I want to pay for this!

Let me explain myself. I want to get this for my mother, as I think she would find it very practical, but she’s not exactly a master of technology. (It’s a miracle she knows how to work a cordless phone.) If I were to print out all 97 pages, that would be a mess to deal with, plus it would cost me a lot of my ink. On the other hand, a rock-solid hardcover volume would work perfectly.

I could probably arrange for this myself, but I am thinking that if I pay money, at least some of it should go to you. Therefore, I’ll leave you to set up the printing service, whichever printing service you wish to use.

Elise 22 June, 2010 at 12:14 pm

This is awesome! Thank you so much for the free download!!

Alan 22 June, 2010 at 12:29 pm

Jeannie @ Take Childbirth Back 22 June, 2010 at 12:53 pm

I’d really love to tell my friends about this, but then how would they be impressed when I serve up these FANTASTIC dishes?!

Holy cow, thank you so much for compiling this! My mouth is watering. Great photography and presentation, too. Spectacular. Thank you.

(Okay, they’ll inevitably ask me about the recipe and I’ll have to share you. But not before I’ve wow’d them! ;) )

Forager 22 June, 2010 at 12:54 pm

What a brilliant convenient initiative – I’ve downloaded my copy and sent it onto all my homecook friends! Thanks!

birgit 22 June, 2010 at 1:46 pm

This is gold
I have been trying hard to add fast easy and delicious meals to our family rotation. There are so many to choose from. I am from Sydney but live in the US. I love your simple, fresh & delicious approach to food – it feels very familiar. Thanks

Dana N 22 June, 2010 at 3:30 pm

Thank you for sharing! I am still drooling and can’t wait to get cooking.

jules 22 June, 2010 at 3:40 pm

thanks for the kind words everyone – glad to hear people are enjoying the book

aaron
good to hear from someone who gets the whole ebook thing – ipad would be a perfect place to keep it – thanks for pointing that out

james
thanks for your comment – good to know there are people who would be keen to pay for the book – am in the process of writing a new one to release for sale later in the year.

hadn’t thought about offering this free book as a print copy – will take a bit for me to reformat it but it could be done if there was enough interest – anyone?

Michelle 22 June, 2010 at 4:51 pm

This is perfect! Most of the posts that you’ve included in the ebook I already had bookmarked for later use (especially all the salads and salad dressing posts!) and I was wondering how I was easily going to remember to go back to them when I was in the kitchen. Having all the best bits of your blog all in one place is perfect!

And although I do use my laptop in the kitchen more and more these days (with all the associated risks of spillage!) a print version would be wonderful.

Jarkko Laine 22 June, 2010 at 4:59 pm

Looks awesome! Thank you!

A print version could be cool exactly for the reason Michelle points out above (risk of spillage), but right now all I care about is trying the recipes :)

Bronwyn 22 June, 2010 at 5:16 pm

Wow – the book looks wonderful. We are just packing up our house and moving into temporary rental accomodation with minimal cooking facilities so this book is a godsend – perfect timing too!!!
