I can’t help noticing there’s a dark side to the recent increase in popularity of celebrity chefs and cooking shows.
We’re told that for food to taste amazing, it needs to be fancy.
It needs to take lots of time.
And washing up.
But I know there’s a different way…
The single biggest weeknight dinner mistake
It’s over-complicating things.
It’s spending too much time planning and writing ridiculously long shopping lists.
It’s choosing meals that are very involved and take a lot of time and a lot of ingredients.
So how do we avoid it?
By sticking to simple recipes!
Which is why I only write recipes with 6-ingredients or less.
And you know the best part?
Even after all these years of creating simple meals, I’m still constantly surprised how delicious food tastes when you let a handful of real food ingredients speak for themselves.
Like some help to simplify your weeknight dinners?

Here’s what Linda and Ryanne said about their experience…
“I was worried the recipes would be time consuming to make. I found 6-Ingredient Suppers has recipes indexed by time so I have an idea of what to pick if time is limited and know how long a dish will take to make. I love the prepare ahead and waste avoidance sections. Love the photos (which made me hungry looking at them!) always nice to know how something should look.”
Linda, 6 Ingredient Suppers Reader.
“All (or most) of the dishes are healthy by using natural products and vegetables. I also like that the recipes are not rocket science, but easy and fast to make. After work, I am not always in the mood for complex cooking.”
Ryanne, 6 Ingredient Suppers Reader.
